Sightseeing tips

Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura are two beautiful islands with a lot of sightseeing to do: impressive nature, the ancient history of the islands, the culture and of course the fascinating coastline with dreamy beaches and magnificent crystal-clear water. Having earned the name the “Islands of Eternal Spring”, the Canaries guarantee good weather all year round.

The coast invites to do some water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving and surfing. Thanks to the different wind and wave conditions every island has the perfect spot for your favourite water sport. The inland is especially interesting for hiking and bike tours. By foot and bike you can reach some hidden places such as beautiful lonesome beaches that lie far off the roads and leave you all by yourself. But also by car you can discover some great spots.

Apart from the beautiful landscapes you can find some cultural highlights when you visit the cities, such as Las Palmas. Here you can find some great museums, restaurants and, if you are into shopping, great shopping centres, and high streets. If you are interested in a long night out, dancing till the sun goes up and enjoying some tasty drinks: both islands have some great spots to start with a cocktail and then dance the night away. If you are much more into relaxing and enjoying some great food: you can find amazing restaurants where you can enjoy tasty wine and some of the Islands’ specialties such as Canarian Potatoes or the famous goat cheese of Fuerteventura.
